Crowds will gather at Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower to watch the fireworks while along the Champs Elysees they will dance and enjoy the music and festivities. Parties will go on until late horus of the morning... En-route to Paris we enjoy the culture and lifestyle of a World Heritage listed city - Strasbourg, and pause to explore the limestone city of Metz.

      Your tour starts with arrival in Munich and check-in to your Hotel. You have the afternoon at leisure to explore Munich and it’s colourful old-town area. Tonight you will meet your fellow travelling companions at the Welcome Dinner at the Hofbraus. Accommodation: Hotel Le Meridien (D)

       

      28 Dec                   MunichUlm - Strasbourg

       

      ulmEnjoy a bountiful breakfast at your hotel before we depart westward toward the German/French border and the city of Strasbourg. En-route we will make a stop in the German city of Ulm, whose history dates back to the 9th century. The dominant landmark of this former guild city is the cathedral or “Minster”, which today has the world’s tallest church spire at 161.5 metres. You have plenty of time to explore the old town centre, take lunch in a nearby café or perhaps climb the church spire. We then continue to the border and the city of Strasbourg in France. Dinner on your own this evening. Accommodation: Hotel Cour de Corbeau (B,D)

      Capital of the Alsace region, this historic city was classified as a World Heritage city in 1988, the first time that an entire city centre received such an honour. We’ll enjoy a leisurely guided walking tour taking in medieval building and squares, narrow alleys and bridges spanning canals that were former fortifications of the city. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the old town before we enjoy a meal in a local restaurant. (B,D)

       

      30 Dec                        StrasbourgMetzParis

       

      metzAfter breakfast we continue our journey westward, stopping in the city of Metz for a lunch break. With a history dating to the 9th century, the city is famous for it’s yellow limestone architecture and is also known as the “Green City”. Time to explore the old town centre before we continue to Paris. Tonight we take the evening meal in a local restaurant. Accommodation: Hotel Castiglione (B,D)

       

      31 Dec                        Paris

       

      This morning we have a guide tour around this great city, taking in the most famous landmarks such as Place de la Concorde, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Louvre. In the afternoon you have plenty of time for lunch and to explore the some of the elegant streets such as Rue de Rivoli, the Champs Elysees and the Boulevard Hausmann. Tonight we have a New Year dinner before visiting the area of Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower to welcome in the New Year. (B,D)

       

      01 Jan                        Paris

       

      Sleep in, take a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a day exploring the city. Paris is famous for it’s New Year’s Day parade, a colourful mix of marching bands, floats, and clowns from USA and Europe. Tonight we enjoy a farewell meal in the historic “Latin Quarter” area of the city.

       

      02 Jan                        Paris – end of tour

       

      The time has come to end your New Year tour which officially ends with breakfast. Transfers can be arranged for further travel from rail stations or airports.
